Biography
Josh has been performing since he was 11 years old, beginning at English National Opera where he worked with Nicholas Hytner, Jonathan Miller, Lesley Garret, and many more. He played many principal boy roles at ENO in Werther, Eugene Onegin, The Magic Flute, Tosca and appeared as a tenor in Hytner's Force of Destiny at 18.
He gained a degree in Drama from Bristol University, before moving into musical theatre, playing the Emcee in Cabaret, Ben in the London premier of the reworked Rags and touring in The West End Show. He continued training at Mountview.
Since graduating, Josh has developed a versatile CV, working constantly across all media and genres. He has recorded, filmed and played leading roles in classical theatre, modern British drama, American theatre, and musicals.
In 2010 Josh was involved in the workshops for new musical Houdini, alongside Ramin Karimloo, Peter Polycarpou and Lucie Jones. This year he played Charles Hammond in Cleveland Street for which he received excellent reviews and is now appearing at the Rose Theatre, Bankside.
